My Bio
Musician, photographer, poet, whims like a periscope.

New Orleans, LA
I watched a few more videos, read some more reddit /r/photography posts, and generally got some new ideas for things. I've been playing with lighting a little bit and more often I've been getting up at midnight to try new lighting stuff (because it's the best time for staging!). When thinking about what to make the subject of my lighting experiments, I decided that my trusty saxophones should be first up. One, because they deserve it, two, because they sexy. Used my 16-50mm kit lens and prime 50 on the tenor (solid gold) with a couple of freelensing attempts. Just the prime on the baritone (black and gold). I used a battery powered worklight

I usually don't have trouble sitting down and grinding through something if I'm interested in it. However I've been there trying to slog through something and it seems insurmountable from the numbers and lack of motivation. Thank you for adding "peephole" to your favorites!
Of course! Did you use a small LED flash light as the light source and shot from "inside" side of the door?

Very cool effect with the rings and dust.
its actually shot through this i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTA2NlgxNjA…

Ive been experimenting with lights, putting light from a LED flashlight through lenses, old cameras, glass objects, filter films from LCD screens etc. This small camera lens was so old and dusty and scratched, it looks so beautiful and it blocks light in such a way you don't see the source behind the lens, just emanating light.
Ahhh I see! That makes more sense from the results. Do you usually score decent deals on ebay? Never really looked myself, probably should haha
